Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the figurative language types that occur on utterances spoken by the pembawa acara of a TV Show; “Bikin Laper” at Trans 7. Figurative language is not merely for artwork but also can be used in daily conversation such as commenting on a meal. It is because sometimes the usual sentences are felt not sufficient to deliver the meaning of the speaker. The data of this study are the utterances of the pembawa acara of a TV Shows “Bikin Laper” in Trans 7. There were 3 videos used as the data source. Watching the video, listening to the sentences from the pembawa acara, and note-taking are the techniques used to collect the data The data analysis is using the theory of Perrine (1992). The result shows that most of the pembawa acara in those videos used hiperbola types to express their feeling about the meals tasted. The other figurative language types that were used that make the dialogues more attractive are Personifikasi, Metapora, and Paradoks. 

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tipe bahasa kiasan yang terdapat dalam ucapan – ucapan beberapa pembawa acara TV “Bikin Laper” di Trans 7. Bahasa kiasan tidak hanya digunakan dalam percakapan sehari – hari namun juga sering terdengar dari komentar – komentar tentang makanan. Hal ini karena kata – kata yang sering digunakan dianggap belum cukup menggambarkan dan menceritakan rasa yang dinikmati oleh pembawa acara Data penelitian ini adalah kalimat – kalimat yang diucapkan oleh pembawa acara TV show ‘Bikin Laper” di Trans 7. 3 video digunakan sebagai sumber datanya. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah menonton video, mendengarkan kalimat yang diucapkan pembawa acara dan pencatatan. Sementara untuk analisis, menggunakan teori dari Perrine (1992). Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa para pembawa acara ini sering menggunakan bahasa kiasan hiperbola untuk mengekspresikan perasaan mereka terhadap hidangan yang sedang dinikmati. Bahasa kiasan lainnya yang digunakan adalah personifikasi, Metaporaa, dan paradoks.
