POLITENESS LANGUAGE OF EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS OF UNIVERSITAS PALEMBANG PGRI IN ACADEMIC SERVICES
Abstract
Abstract: The study aimed to describe the politeness language of employees and students of the Palembang PGRI University in Academic Services. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques and procedures used are observation, recording and transcripts. Data analysis is done by transcribing the recorded data into written form, then analyzed based on the problem formulation. Based on data analysis, the politeness of the employees and students of Palembang PGRI University in Academic Services are descriptively expressed through the functions of politeness, politeness and fulfillment strategies and violations of politeness maxims. The application of functions, strategies, fulfillment and violations of politeness maxims occurred between employees and students at the PGRI Palembang University due to the context in which it occurred.
