TINDAK TUTUR EKSPRESIF GURU SEBAGAI WUJUD KESANTUNAN POSITIF DALAM PENANAMAN NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI SEKOLAH

Abstract

In teaching and learning interaction, communication at school becomes an important factor to build the value of character education, besides delivering the knowledge. Teacher’s speech act becomes the main way in delivering the material or knowledge and in building the value of character education. A competent teacher should have pedagogic skill, professionalism, character, and social skill. In reality, many teachers have not implemented the value of character education yet.

The objective of this scientific paper is to explain teacher’s expressive speech act as a positive manner form. The second objective is to explain teacher’s expressive speech act as a positive manner form in building the value of character education at school. In addition, the last objective is to adjust valuable researches for teachers at school in the process of delivering knowledge. Thus, teachers will also teach character education to their students which is shown by the teacher’s speech act. This method can be a solution to build good character to the students at school. Good characters owned by the students will influence the improvement of academic learning quality delivered by the teachers.
