PENGGUNAAN BAHASA MELAYU PONTIANAK DALAM PERGAULAN SEHARI-HARI

Abstract

The focus of the problem in this research is how the form of the Malay language, and the factors that led to the use of the Malay language in daily life. This study is a qualitative research, which produces descriptive data in the form of words or word of mouth from the people and observed behavior. Data After the data collected have been selected in accordance with the objectives of the problem, and researchers analyzed data have been obtained. Data collection procedures performed by two techniques: (1) observation, and (2) interviews. This research subject is the language used by the people of Pontianak. Data analysis techniques used in this study consists of four stages: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) presentation of data, and (4) verification / drawing conclusions. The results showed that the use of Malay in Pontianak City community in the form of words, phrases, and sentences are disclosed. From the interviews conducted by the researchers of factors menyebab use of Malay Pontianak namely social / social, cultural factors, and the media factor.
