Abstract

Bukit Semarang Baru in Subdistrict Mijen, Semarang Municipality is a large-scale residential development in which the function of employment, shopping, education, and recreation. Development of the area lead to an increase in emissions from transport and industrial activity. Motor vehicle emissions and industrial stacks effect on the concentration of pollutants in the ambient air in the surrounding area. This studyaims to determine theair qualityconditions, patterns andmodelsof airpollutantdistributioninthe study area. The research was carried out with sampling of ambient air in 15 sampling points in the study area. The sampling carried out in the morning, afternoon, evening, andnight. Parameters measured were NO2, SO2, CO, and dust. The results of analysis air qualityare known from air pollution standard index and mapped ArcGIS10. The distribution pattern of air pollutants mapped using Surfer10. In addition the measurements, also carried out calculations according to Gaussian Dispersion Model of line sources and point sources. Line sources derived from transportation conditions, while point sources derived from industrial stacks. The highest concentration of NO2in the Road Ngaliyan-Bojais79.770μg/Nm3, air pollution standard index value obtained include in good category. The highest concentration of SO2 at Main Gate is91.424μg/Nm3, air pollution standard index value obtained is 52 include medium category. The highest CO concentration obtained at Graha Taman Bunga and Main Gate is 6.866μg/Nm3, air pollution standard index value obtained is 69 include medium category. The highest concentration of dust in Sport club for 363.444μg/Nm3, air pollution standard index value obtained is 190 include unhealthy category.
