Abstract

The purpose of this research are : (1) to know the characteristics of modules based guided-inquiry development in  food digestive system material to increase KPS, (2) to know the feasibility of modules based guided-inquiry development in food digestive system material to increase KPS , (3) to know the effectiveness of  modules based guided-inquiry development in food digestive system material to increase KPS. Procedure of development already done refers to 4D’s model of development  by Thiagarajan consists of four steps, which are define, design, develop, and dessiminate.Instruments that used consists of:observation form, assessment form, questionnaire and multiple-choice test. Data analysis that used of this research and development are descriptive analysis and independen sample t-tes The results of this research are: (1) the characteristics of modules based guided-inquiry  that developed is not only used for individual learning but also could be used for group learning, this module could  train the ability of students’ KPS. (2) based on the expert validation about modules based guided-inquiry   is very worthy tobe implemented in lesson of biology especially in food digestive system material. (3) ability of students’ KPS is increased before and after learning process by  modules based guided-inquiry. Average value of  KPS ability before learning by module amount of 70,69 and  average value of KPS ability after learning  by module amount of 84,66.
