Hubungan Keterampilan Metakognisi Dengan Pemahaman Konsep Biologi Melalui Model Pembelajaran SSCS

Abstract

One of alternative learning model that directs students to improve metacognitive and understanding concepts is Search-Solve-Create-Share (SSCS). This study aims to determine the relationship between metacognitive skills and biology concepts understanding through SSCS learning model. This research was conducted at State Senior High School 2 of Surakarta in academic year 2018/2019. Design of this research used one shot case study with sample of 30 students. Measurement of metacognitive skills using questionnaires by Mazzolini and Morley (2004) and measurement of biology concepts understanding using validated essay. The results were seen based on the activities teacher and students during learning process. The teacher's activities and implementation of learning model SSCS at each meeting are include in very good category. Student activities at each meeting are included in excellent category. The metacognitive skills of students through the SSCS learning model resulted average value 23.23 include in high category. Biology understanding concepts through the SSCS learning model produces an average value of 71.58 include in high category. There are a relationship between metacognitive and biology concept understanding through the SSCS learning model based on the correlation coefficient Pearson with a significance value of less than 0.05 and the degree of correlation value is 0.672 include in strong category.
