Abstract

This article aims to determine the implementation of legal protection of internet banking customer users in Bank Jatim, and the accountability of banks in transactions conducted using internet banking in Bank Jatim. This Articles is a descriptive  empirical legal research. Implementation of customer protection Internet Banking user service in Bank Jatim is done by security protection of internet banking technology, customer complaint and consumer education. Protection of internet banking technology security in Bank Jatim is done with the principle of confidentiality principle, integrity principle and principle of availability. In accountability to customers, Bank Jatim specifically regulates how Bank Jatim provides its responsibility to customers or third parties in terms and conditions of internet banking services. However, Bank Jatim still has to fulfill the principle of always responsible which regulated in Consumer Protection Act.

Abstrak

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan perlindungan hukum nasabah pengguna layanan internet banking di Bank Jatim, dan pengaturan pertanggungjawaban bank dalam  transaksi yang dilakukan menggunakan internet banking di Bank Jatim. Artikel ini termasuk jenis penelitian hukum empiris yang bersifat deskripstif. Pelaksanaan perlindungan nasabah pengguna layanan internet Banking di Bank Jatim dilakukan dengan bentuk perlindungan keamanan teknologi internet banking, pengaduan nasabah dan pendidikan konsumen. Perlindungan keamanan teknologi internet banking di Bank Jatim dilakukan dengan pendekatan prinsip kerahasiaan, prinsip integritas dan prinsip ketersediaan. Dalam pertanggungjawaban kepada nasabah, Bank Jatim mengatur secara spesifik bagaimana Bank Jatim memberikan tanggungjawabnya kepada nasabah atau pihak ketiga dalam syarat dan ketentuan layanan internet banking. Namun, Bank Jatim tetap harus memenuhi prinsip selalu bertanggung jawab yang diatur dalam UU Perlindungan Konsumen.
