HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN REMAJA PUTRI TENTANG KONSUMSI ZAT BESI DENGAN KEJADIAN ANEMIA DI SMP 18 SURAKARTA
Abstract
Latar belakang: Kejadian anemia yang paling banyak terjadi pada remaja putri yaitu anemia defisiensi besi, anemia disebabkan karena kebutuhan zat besi meningkat tinggi pada masa pertumbuhan dan remaja putri juga mengalami haid setiap bulannya. Hal ini diperkuat dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri menurut Riskesdas tahun 2016 yaitu sebesar 22,7%. Masalah anemia pada remaja putri akan mengakibatkan perkembangan motorik, mental dan kecerdasan terhambat, menurunnya prestasi belajar dan tingkat kebugaran, tidak tercapainya tinggi badan maksimal, kontribusi yang negatif pada masa kehamilan kelak, yang menyebabkan kelahiran bayi dengan berat badan lahir rendah (BBLR), kesakitan dan kematian pada ibu dan anak
Tujuan penelitian: Menganalisis hubungan tingkat pengetahuan remaja putri tentang konsumsi zat besi dengan kejadian anemia di SMP 18 Surakarta.
Metode penelitian: Desain penelitian adalah cross sectional untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan remaja putri tentang konsumsi zat besi dengan kejadian anemia. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP 18 Surakarta. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja putri di SMP 18 Surakarta. Teknik pencuplikan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dan lembar observasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji statistik chi square.
Hasil penelitian: Dalam penelitian ini mayoritas responden yang diteliti memiliki pengetahuan tinggi terhadap konsumsi zat besi (66.67%) dan lebih dari seperempat total responden mengalami anemia (26.67%). Selanjutnya, terdapat hubungan pengetahuan konsumsi zat besi terhadap kejadian anemia dengan nilai p<0.04. Responden yang memiliki pengetahuan rendah tentang konsumsi zat besi memiliki risiko anemia lebih besar 13.5 kali.
Kesimpulan: Mayoritas responden yang diteliti memiliki pengetahuan tinggi terhadap konsumsi zat besi dan lebih dari seperempat total responden mengalami anemia. Selanjutnya, terdapat hubungan pengetahuan konsumsi zat besi terhadap kejadian anemia.
