PENGARUH METODE ELEKTROOSMOSIS TERHADAP TEKANAN AIR PORI PADA TANAH LEMPUNG YANG DICAMPUR DENGAN ABU AMPAS TEBU

Abstract

The method used in this study is the method elektroosmosis and chemical soil stabilization. Elektroosmosis method is one of the effective methods toreduce water content. While the chemical soil stabilization is a method to improve the soil by adding mixing ingredients for a process of chemicalbinding of water. This research is aimed to determine the effect of variations in the electrical potential difference method elektroosmosis the pore waterpressure in the clay soil mixed with bagasse ash on the application of the initial load and no-load early. In this test using physical modelsshaped glass box measuring 40 x 30 x 15 cm and a piece of copper as a conductor of electrical current. Samples electrified models with a potentialdifference of 0, 3, 6, 9, 12 Volt and performed initial application of load and no-load early. Added material used is bagasse ash as much as 10%of the weight of the soil sample. Observation of pore water pressure is done by measuring the height of water every 24 hours for 3 days. The resultsof the analysis show the method elektroosmosis without initial load, the use of bagasse ash in clay soil resulted in a decrease in pore water pressuremore than testing on clay without bagasse ash. In elektroosmosis method with the application of the initial load, the use of bagasse ash in clay soilis less effective due to decreased pore water pressures were relatively the same as testing on clay without bagasse ash. In elektroosmosis method withthe application of the initial load and no-load start of the clay plus bagasse ash, the application of a potential difference variations affect the higherthe reduction in pore water pressure.
