This study examines how various factors influence job satisfaction and commitment to work and organization at universities in Central Java and Yogyakarta. We focus on factors such as compensation, work environment, and psychological safety of employees and faculty at universities in Central Java and Yogyakarta. Using 72 respondents from university employees and universities, this study found that compensation and job satisfaction were able to increase employee organizational commitment, while work environment and psychological safety did not increase job satisfaction or organizational commitment at the university. Future research is expected to examine the work atmosphere and psychological safety on other objects, for example in hospital or hotel employees. Further details of these findings are discussed in this paper.

Studi ini menyelidiki bagaimana berbagai faktor dalam organisasi mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja dan komitmen untuk bekerja dan berorganisasi di universitas di Jawa Tengah dan Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini fokus pada faktor-faktor seperti struktur kompensasi, lingkungan kerja, dan keamanan psikologis pada karyawan dan pengajar di universitas di Jawa Tengah dan Yogyakarta. Menggunakan 72 responden dari karyawan dan pengajar universitas, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa struktur kompensasi dan kepuasan kerja mampu meningkatkan komitmen organisasi karyawan universitas, sedangkan lingkungan kerja dan keselamatan psikologis tidak meningkatkan baik kepuasan kerja maupun komitmen organisasi di universitas. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan untuk meneliti work atmosphere dan psychological safety pada objek lain, misalnya pada karyawan rumah sakit atau perhotelan. Konsekuensi lebih lanjut dari temuan ini dibahas dalam makalah ini.
