DEKONSTRUKSI MAKNA “PRESTASI” PADA SISWA, GURU, DAN ORANG TUA SISWA
Abstract
This study aims to challenge the traditional concept of achievement often defined merely as formal recognition. It seeks a broader and more inclusive understanding of achievement by acknowledging various forms of success and abilities possessed by students. The research methodology employed is qualitative research. Data were collected through three main techniques: in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Informants for the study were purposively selected to ensure they possessed relevant knowledge and experience on the research topic, consisting of three students, two teachers, and three parents of students. Data obtained were analyzed using Interactive Analysis techniques. The findings of the study indicate that the definition of achievement extends beyond academic accomplishments to include personal development, social skills, and the ability to overcome challenges. The implications of this research are crucial in supporting every child to reach their full potential and in fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment. Every child deserves recognition for their achievements, not only in academic fields but also in the development of personal skills and values that prepare them for the future, thereby promoting a more inclusive paradigm shift in the assessment and recognition of student achievements.

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menantang konsep tradisional tentang prestasi yang seringkali diartikan sebagai sesuatu yang hanya mendapatkan pengakuan formal. Penelitian ini mengupayakan pemahaman yang lebih luas dan inklusif tentang prestasi dengan mengakui berbagai bentuk keberhasilan dan kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui tiga teknik utama, wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini dipilih secara purposif untuk memastikan bahwa mereka memiliki pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Informan tersebut ialah tiga siswa, dua guru, dan tiga orang tua siswa. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik Analisis Interaktif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa definisi prestasi tidak hanya terbatas pada pencapaian akademis semata, tetapi juga meliputi aspek pengembangan pribadi, keterampilan sosial, dan kemampuan mengatasi tantangan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini sangat penting untuk mendukung setiap anak dalam mencapai potensi mereka secara penuh. diharapkan dapat menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang inklusif dan mendukung. Setiap anak berhak dihargai atas pencapaian mereka, baik dalam bidang akademik maupun dalam perkembangan keterampilan dan nilai-nilai pribadi yang mempersiapkan mereka untuk masa depan dan memunculkan perubahan paradigma yang lebih inklusif dalam penilaian dan penghargaan terhadap prestasi siswa.
