DISORGANISASI SOSIAL TENAGA KERJA VIETNAM DI JEPANG
Abstract
Japan is one of the most powerful economies in the world. A high economy makes the lives of Japanese residents happier, the proof that crime cases in Japan is low. Crime’s can be caused by various factors and can be committed by anyone, indigenous people, or immigrants. Japan, which incidentally has a good economy condition, will certainly attract people from all over the world to come to Japan, as workers, students, or as tourists. From that many immigrants, not all of them obey the rules in Japan, few of them commit crimes. Immigrants who commit crimes come from various countries, but the most significant are immigrants from Vietnam. The number of Vietnamese immigrants who commit crimes in Japan is relatively increasing every year. The purpose of this study is to analyze the phenomenon of increasing crime committed by Vietnamese immigrants using the perspective of social disorganization and the concept of poverty, a concept from Anthony Giddens. This research is a qualitative descriptive research using literature study method. The results of the analysis show that the unstable economy in the country of origin and the large number of Japanese companies investing in Vietnam have made many parents send their children to work in Japan. Sometimes because of the strong desire of parents who are not balanced with the mental maturity of the child. Mental instability triggers people to do things that are forbidden. Differences in norms, economics, and high socio-cultural differences between Vietnam and Japan also led to social disorganization.
