<p>Science literacy is one of the 21st century skills that students need to have. One of the things that affects the science literacy skills of students is the learning model used. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the science literacy skills of students on the material of the human excretory system in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya Academic Year 2022/2023. The research method used was true experiment with posttest-only control group design. The population in this study were all XI MIPA classes of SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya as many as 8 classes with a total of 283 students. The sampling technique was done by cluster random sampling method. The sample used in this study consisted of 2 classes, namely class XI MIPA 2 as an experimental class with a total of 33 students and class XI MIPA 3 as a control class with a total of 39 students. Data collection techniques in the form of giving instruments of science literacy skills in the form of multiple choice questions as many as 37 questions related to the material of the human excretory system. Hypothesis testing using an independent t test with a Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 so that H0 is rejected, which means that there is an effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) on the science literacy skills of students in the material of the human excretory system in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya Academic Year 2022/2023.</p>Ajeng Fajar RamadhantiSuharsono SuharsonoEgi Nuryadin

<p>This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through inquiry learning models on ecosystem material at MA Alkhairaat Bolangitang Barat. This research method is a quantitative descriptive using a pre-experimental design<em> </em>type of <em>One Group Pretest Posttest Design </em>. Data collection uses the implementation of learning, student activities and critical thinking indicator questions (tests). The data analysis technique used is the category of critical thinking skills and N-Gain. The average score before learning ( <em>Pre-test </em>) is 25 and it has increased after applying the inquiry learning model ( <em>Post-test) </em>with an average score of 73. In addition, the Gain normalization value obtained from students' understanding in studying Ecosystem material, namely reaching 0.63 with moderate criteria. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills in ecosystem material. This can be seen from the results of the percentage score on the indicator of critical thinking ability on the <em>Posttest score which shows that the posttest </em>score of students is higher than the <em>Pretest score </em>. <p>Low student learning outcomes are an indication that the learning process has not run optimally. This is caused by the lack of variation in the use of learning models so that it affects the low student learning outcomes and collaboration skills. In order for students to be able to develop problem solving abilities, a learning model is needed such as the Problem Based Learning model. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of the PBL model with concept map on students' biology learning outcomes. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was students of class XI IPA at the SMA Budi Luhur Samarinda, using cluster random sampling technique. Data collection techniques of the research used observation and tests. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows the t test with the PBL model on learning outcomes is (0.000 <0.05) so it can be interpreted that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model with concept maps on biology learning outcomes. Then test the N Gain score with the PBL model on student learning outcomes, namely 0.78, including the high category. The results of the data analysis presented that students' collaboration increased to the high category (≥ 85.3%) with details of 85.7% indicators of collaborative attitude and character, 84.7% indicators of active collaborating behavior, 87.5% indicators of collaboration skills. And in the t test with the PBL model for collaboration skills, namely (0.000 <0.05) so it can be interpreted that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by concept maps on collaboration skills of class XI IPA SMA Budi Luhur Samarinda students. These results arise because of the active role of students in the problem-based learning process so that it is possible students gain a more realistic learning experience and improve student learning outcomes also student collaboration skills, especially in Biology lessons.</p>Khusnul Yumni Bulan SariSri PurwatiJailani Jailani

<p>Practicum is an important learning activity to train students' psychomotor skills. Therefore, students' ability to understand the steps and methods of practice in the laboratory must be familiarized. The use of website-based practicum simulation is one of the learning media to prepare students before entering the real laboratory. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of website simulation-assisted practicum on students' psychomotor learning outcomes in class XI food ingredient test practicum. The type of research used was quasi experiment with Posttest non-equivalent control groups design. The population used was 187 students and the sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample used was 56 students, with XI MIPA 1 as the control and XI MIPA 2 as the experimental class. The data analysis technique used Independent t-test statistical analysis. The results showed that the implementation of web-based practicum simulation had a significant effect on all four psychomotor levels. One of the objectives of the Biology Education study program is that students have entrepreneurial insights and competencies in the field of biology education that can contribute to self-development and society. Based on the objectives of this study program, it can be concluded that graduates of the study program are not only expected to become teachers but also to become entrepreneurs. Therefore, in the lecture process, it is hoped that each course can be oriented to foster students' entrepreneurial interest and motivation. This study aims to reveal how the entrepreneurial interest of Biology Education students after taking the Plant Structure and Development course. Because of the potential of this course if the right project assignment is developed in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit, this will be able to form graduates who have entrepreneurial competencies. This research is an exploratory descriptive research. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and the results of the data analysis were later interpreted in qualitative form. The results showed that 91.37% of students are interested in entrepreneurship and the level of entrepreneurial interest of students has a high category. <span lang="EN">This study aims to examine the impact of Thinking Empowerment through Questioning techniques on biology learners' capacity for problem-solving. This type of quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach and design<em> </em>pretes-posttests experimental control group design. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Bayan, North Lombok Regency. The population of the entire class X with 288 students. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique, then selected class XA was the experimental class and class XC as the control class. The instrument used is an<em> </em>essay-shaped test on environmental change material totaling ten questions. Data analysis technique using Analysis of Covarian test with the help of<em> </em>SPSS 26 software. The results of Analysis of Covarian analysis are, the significance is 0,000 < 0,05. <span>In this modern era, students who are literate are needed, namely those who understand scientific facts and their application to everyday life. Biology is subject that is needed in everyday life, so it is necessary for students to have a high level of biological literacy. One way to improve biological literacy is by applying cooperative and constructive learning models, namely Think Pair Share combined with Reading Questioning Answering. This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) Learning Model combined with Reading Questioning Answering (RQA) on the Biological Literacy of Students at SMAN 13 Jakarta on the reproductive system. The research was conducted in May 2023 using a quasi-experimental research method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample was selected by simple random sampling. The prerequisite test used is the normality test with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and the homogeneity test using the F test. Statistical hypothesis test with the independent t-test obtained the results of accept H0 at α = 0.05, which means that there is no influence of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model combined with Reading Questioning Answering (RQA) Biological Literacy’s students on reproductive system.</span>Rizhal Hendi RistantoSri RahayuAdinda Maulidia

<p>Genetic literacy is the capacity to obtain, process, understand, and use genetic information. Genetic literacy is a supportive thing in understanding science as a theory, process, and application. Genetic literacy that is empowered in learning can develop cognitive and affective aspects in pre-service teachers. This study aims to measure genetic literacy skills as a preliminary study for further research on the genetic literacy skills of students in genetics courses. This research design refers to descriptive research. The research subjects in this study were Universitas PGRI Ronggolawe biology education students who took genetics courses for the 2019/2020 academic year. The genetic literacy skill instrument was validated through product-moment correlation analysis. There are 15 genetic literacy questions with right and wrong answer choice and multiple choice questions. Scores will be interpreted into percentages and grouped into high, satisfactory, under-satisfactory, and unsatisfactory categories. The results showed that genetic literacy tests on 25 college students showed that the highest score was 93 and the lowest score was 73. The average genetic literacy score of students was 82.7. Based on genetic literacy test questions, it shows that the concept of student understanding is in the excellent category. This phenomenon is influenced by various factors, including the learning design and teaching materials used. <p>This study aims to determine the application of the use of e-book learning media to students in class VI SDN 04 Popayato which is an experimental class 1 and the application of the use of textbook learning media to students in class VI SDN 09 Popayato which is an experimental class 2 to foster the character of conservation and digital literacy skills in science subjects in coastal schools. This research method uses a quasi-experimental design, with a true experimental design in the form of a Posttest-Only Control Design. Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis used statistical analysis consisting of questionnaire percentages and independent t-tests. The results of the research on students in class VI SDN 04 Popayato which is an experimental class 1 showed an average percentage of the conservation character questionnaire of 86.82% and the digital literacy questionnaire was 88.55%, while students in class VI SDN 09 Popayato which was an experimental class 2 showed an average -the average percentage of the conservation character questionnaire is 70.60% and the digital literacy questionnaire is 72.03%, the results of the t-test of the conservation character questionnaire and the digital literacy questionnaire show 0.00 > 0.05 meaning there is a difference in growing conservation character and digital literacy skills in natural science subjects at school coast.</p>Herinda MardinTiska RasyidAbubakar Sidik Katili

<p><em>Qr code</em> merupakan sebuah sistem yang menggunakan kode gambar dua dimensi yang juga berasal dari evolusi barcode <em>qr code</em> dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran <em>qr code</em> yang layak dan mendapatkan respon positif siswa. Pengembangan media <em>qr code</em> ini menggunakan metode pengembangan (Research and Development). Model penelitian pengembangan 4-D (Four D model), Peneliti hanya menggunakan 3 langkah yaitu: Tahap Define (Perencanaan), tahap Design (Perancangan) dan tahap Develop (Pengembangan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media <em>qr code</em> yang dikembangkan menggunakan lembar validasi ahli dan angket respon mendapatkan nilai pada aspek media 80,00% (layak ), aspek materi 88,00% (sangat layak), aspek bahasa 82,00% (sangat layak). Sedangkan hasil respon siswa menggunakan 2 uji coba pengembangan yaitu uji coba skala kecil 90% (sangat positif) dan uji coba skala besar 88,41% (sangat positif).
