Abstract

Traditional markets are still the favourite place for Indonesians to shop for vegetables, which can benefit vegetable traders. Vegetable consumption in Semarang Regency is higher than in neighbouring cities. The consumption of chilli in Semarang Regency is the highest compared to other vegetables. STA Jetis Market, Bandungan Sub-district, Semarang Regency is a wholesale vegetable centre. There are 41 chilli traders in STA Jetis Market. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of capital (X1), length of business (X2), working hours (X3), and quantity sold (X3) on the turnover of chilli traders at STA Jetis Market. The basic method of this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Sampling using the census method, all chilli traders became respondents in this study. Data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the variables of capital (X1), working hours (X3), quantity sold (X4) had a significant effect on the turnover of chili traders at the Jetis STA Market and the variable length of business (X2) had no significant effect on the turnover of chili traders at the Jetis STA Market.
