ANALISIS FAKTOR FAKTOR YANG MEMENGARUHI KONSUMSI TEMPE OLEH RUMAH TANGGA DI KOTA SURAKARTA

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing what factors influence the amount of household tempe consumption, and analyzing the elasticity of tempe consumption in Surakarta City. The basic research method is descriptive. The choice of research location was carried out deliberately in Surakarta City because the average monthly per capita expenditure for consumption of nuts including tempeh in Surakarta City was 2,215 rupiah which was the lowest number compared to other commodity groups and ADHK per capita GRDP in Surakarta City in 2020 was 66.6 million . When calculated using ADHB's GRDP, it is Rp91.4 million. The sample data used amounted to 100. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression using SPSS version 22 program. The characteristics of tempe consumers in Surakarta City are women, aged 15 to 24 years, work as an entrepreneur, household income per month is IDR 2,442,500, - and has 3-4 household members. The results of the regression analysis show that there are four variables, namely the price of tempeh, the price of tofu, the price of broiler eggs, and the price of cooking oil that affect the consumption of tempeh in the city of Surakarta. Tempeh price elasticity is elastic. Cross elasticity indicates that tofu is a substitute for tempeh, while chicken eggs and oil are complementary goods for tempeh.
