HUBUNGAN ANTARA KARAKTERISTIK PETANI DAN PERAN PENYULUH DENGAN TINGKAT ADOPSI INOVASI CARA TANAM JAJAR LEGOWO PADI DI KABUPATEN KLATEN

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of innovation adoption of legowo ranks, describe the characteristics of farmers and the role of extension workers, and analyze the relationship between the characteristics of farmers and the role of extension agents with the level of adoption of innovations in the way of planting legowo row ranks. This research uses explanatory method with survey techniques. The research location was determined purposively in Klaten Regency. The method of determining the sample using multistage random sampling. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Data analysis uses interval width formula and Spearman rank correlation analysis (rs). The results of the Spearman rank correlation analysis show a significant relationship between age and the direction of negative relationships, formal education, informal education, the role of agent as facilitators, motivators, and mediators with the level of innovation adoption of legowo row planting methods. There is no significant relationship between land area, and experience with the level of adoption of innovative ways to plant jajar legowo.
