ANALISIS PERMINTAAN GULA JAWA PADA SKALA RUMAH TANGGA DI KABUPATEN PURWOREJO

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to determine what factors can affect the demand for palm sugar and the elasticity of demand for palm sugar on a household scale in Purworejo Regency. This research method is descriptive and analytical. The sample used is market visitors with 100 respondents. Analysis of the data used is multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results showed that the factors of the price of palm sugar, the price of granulated sugar, the price of cayenne pepper, household income and the number of consumer household members together had a significant effect on the amount of demand for palm sugar in Purworejo Regency. While the factors that influence individually are the price of cayenne pepper that has a negative effect, household income and the number of consumer household members have a positive effect. Income elasticity shows that brown sugar is included in the category of normal goods with an elasticity value of 0.206. Cross elasticity shows that cayenne pepper is a complementary product of Java sugar with an elasticity value of 1.906.
