ANALISIS TATANIAGA UBI KAYU VARIETAS JALAK TOWO DI KABUPATEN KARANGANYAR

Abstract

This study aims to find out the more efficient trading system of cassava variety Jalak Towo in the Karanganyar Regency. The basic method of the study used a descriptive analysis method. The research site was chosen purposively in Kecamatan Ngargoyoso, Kecamatan Tawangmangu, and Kecamatan Jatiyoso of Karanganyar Regency. The sampling used the purposive sampling method with 30 farmers, and snowball sampling found 15 trading institutions. The data were collected by interviews using a questionnaire. The data analysis method used a calculator and Microsoft Excel. The results of the study show that there are five patterns of trading system. Farmers and trading institutions perform the main functions of trading, namely exchange function, physical function, and facility function. Market structure and market behavior between farmers and each trading institution tend to be an oligopoly market. Trading system of cassava variety Jalak Towo in system I is more efficient. System I has marketing margin of IDR 1,406.25, percentage of trading margin of 31.25%, farmer's share of 68.75%, and profit to cost ratio of 4.70.
