STUDI KELAYAKAN USAHA BUDIDAYA PEPAYA CALIFORNIA (Carica papaya L.) DI DESA PULAU TAGOR KECAMATAN SERBAJADI KABUPATEN SERDANG BEDAGAI

Abstract

This study aims to determine the business of papaya California cultivation in Pulau Tagor Village based on financial and non-financial. The basic method of this research is descriptive qualitative method, with survey technique. The research location was chosen purposively in Pulau Tagor Village, Serbajadi District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The sample was determined by the census method obtained by 40 respondents. The results showed: (1) the development of papaya California cultivation based on non-financial aspects, namely market aspects, technical aspects, and environmental aspects is feasible to be developed. (2) The analysis of the financial aspect shows that it is feasible to develop with an NPV value of Rp. 2,310,004,852, Net B/C Ratio of 6.44, IRR 11.06%, and PP for 1.2 years. Sensitivity analysis shows that if production decreases by 50% and 60%, then the papaya California cultivation business is still feasible to run. While the variable costs increased by 50% and 60%, then the papaya California cultivation business is still feasible to run.
