ANALISIS RISIKO USAHATANI BAWANG MERAH DI KECAMATAN TAWANGMANGU KABUPATEN KARANGANYAR (STUDI KASUS DESA BLUMBANG)

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The study aims to find out how the cost and income structure of shallot farmers, the level of production risk, price risk, and income risk in shallot farming, formulate the efforts to control production risk, price risk, and income risk incurred by shallot farmers in shallot farming in Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency. The basic method used in this study is descriptive analytical method. Data analysis methods used in this study are Analysis of Cost and Revenue of Shallot Farming (calculate the farming costs, total farm costs and farm income) and Analysis of production/price/income risk. The result of the study showed that the average income received by farmers in Blumbang village is IDR. 10,97,.000, the average cost incurred by farmers is IDR. 5,562,489 and the average income received by farmers is IDR. 5,408,511. The coefficient variation (cv) obtained from production risk, price and income is 0.49, 0.07 and 0.45 ≤ 0.5 which means it has low risk level. In order to increase the production of shallot, the farmers of Blumbang village are suggested to plant a new variety of shallot that suitable for dry season and rainy season. Also, the farmers should be provided the post harvest knowledge, land management knowledge, planting, irrigation, and application of seasonally appropriate fertilizer application.
