ANALISIS DAYA SAING TEMBAKAU DATARAN RENDAH DAN TEMBAKAU DATARAN TINGGI AKIBAT PERUBAHAN IKLIM DI KABUPATEN KENDAL

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research are to analyze farm business, competitiveness, and the effect of climate change on tobacco competitiveness in Kendal Regency. The basic research method used is descriptive analytic method with survey techniques, and the sampling method used is the proportional sampling method and the census. The survey was conducted by taking a sample from one respondent and using a questionnaire with the number of respondents examined was 60 respondents. The results of the research were divided into two comodity. It is lowland tobacco and plateau tobacco. The cost of lowland tobacco production is 8,997,573 IDR/Farm Bussiness/Harvest Season and plateau tobacco is 10,980.566 IDR/Farm Bussiness/Harvest Season. Meanwhile the revenue of lowland tobacco farming amounted to 9,881,667 IDR/Farm Bussiness/Harvest Season and Plateau tobacco is 12,998,667 IDR/Farm Bussiness/Harvest Season. Based on explicit cost approaches, either Lowland tobacco and Plateau tobacco have competitiveness level. In addition, the result based on total cost approaches shows that lowland tobacco farming has competitiveness and plateau tobacco has no competitiveness. Furthermore, climate change has no effect on lowland tobacco competitiveness, meanwhile it has effect on plateau tobacco.
