PERANAN SEKTOR PERTANIAN, KEHUTANAN DAN PERIKANAN TERHADAP PEREKONOMIAN DI KABUPATEN DEMAK

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims is to analyze agriculture, forestry and fishery sector and sub-sectors in the period 2012-2016, analyzing sectoral positions in the present and in the future as well as determining factors that causes sectoral changes in Demak regency, Central Java province. This research uses secondary data for five years. The methods used in this research are Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) and Shift Share. The result of LQ analysis shows that agriculture, forestry and fishery sector are a superior sector in the economy of Demak regency. The agriculture, forestry and fishery sector are expedted to experience role changes in the future, namely from a superior sector in the present to a non-superior sector in the future. Factors causing those changes of role are their economic structure. The agriculture, forestry and fisheries sub-sectors which are predicted to experience role changes in the future are plantation crop sub-sector and livestock sub-sector which both experience changes from a non-superior sub-sector in the present to become a superior sub-sector in the future. The factors that cause changes in the role of  plantation sub-sector and livestock sub-sector are also their economic structure.
