Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to determine the factors that affect the socioeconomic red chili farming income on sand land in the coastal Panjatan Sub District Kulon Progo Regency, by analyzing the costs and revenues, the factors that influence the socio-economic as well as social and economic factors that most influence on red chili farm incomes. This study uses descriptive analytical basis. The location study which is in Panjatan Sub District, Kulon Progo Regency. The sampling method by purposive sampling. The data used are primary and secondary. Analysis of the data were used: (1) Analysis of Cost and Revenue; (2) Regression Analysis. The results showed that the cost factors of seed, the land area, number of dependents, the cost of manure, and Phonska significant effect on red chili farm income. The labor costs and length of experience no significant impact on red chili farm income. The results showed: The cost of seeking for one farm (January to March) is Rp. 50,811,183.00 per ha, the amount of revenue is Rp. 160,910,860.00 per ha, and the income of Rp. 110,099,688.00 per ha. Socio-economic factors that most influence the area of land, with the highest standards of regression coefficient is 2.420. Expected farmers were able to expand the land area planted to obtain higher farm income and the need for calculation and planning in every act of farming in order to be able to increase income.
