PERAN PENYULUH PERTANIAN LAPANGAN DENGAN TINGKAT PERKEMBANGAN KELOMPOK TANI DI KABUPATEN SUKOHARJO

Abstract

ABSTRACT : This study aims to analyze the role of agricultural extension, the development of farmers' groups and the relationship between the role of agricultural extension field and the level of development of farmer groups in Sukoharjo district. The analytical method used is quantitative survey research techniques. Determination of a location was done purposively. Data analysis method used was the Spearman rank. The results showed the role of agricultural extension officers as motivators are in the categories high, facilitators are in the low category, consultants are in the categories high, the role of the mediator is in the category of low/very low, the overall role of the agricultural field extension officers are in the low category. Level of development of farmer groups in terms of self-reliance are in the categories high, the ability of the members are in the category of high, the ability of groups are in the low category and overall development of farmer groups are in the low category. At the 95% confidence level, the role of extension officers as a motivator with a level of independence demonstrates the relationship that is not significant, and the extent of the ability between the members and groups showed a significant relationship. Between the role of extension officers as facilitator and consultant in the level of self-reliance, the ability of members and the ability of group showed a significant relationship. Whereas there is no significant relationship of the role of extension officers as mediator   in the level of independence  and the level of member ability and the ability of the group showed a significant relationship. The overall role of agricultural extension with the level of development of farmer groups have a very significant relationship.
