ANALISIS FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PERMINTAAN SEMANGKA DI KECAMATAN BAKI KABUPATEN SUKOHARJO

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims todetermine the effect of variable watermelon fruit prices, the price of apples, papaya fruit prices, the price of bananas, family size and household income consumers against demand of watermelon in the sub-district of Baki, Sukoharjo regency. This research method is descriptive survey techniques. The research location chosen is in sub-districts baki. Methods of sample selection is a convenience sampling method. Theamountsample used are 98housewifes. The analytical method used isdoublelogarihtm natural withOrdinary Least Square (OLS)parameterestimators. The results showed that the factors which consists of the price of watermelon, apple prices, the price of papaya, banana prices, family size and household income consumers jointly significant effect on the number ofdemand watermelon in sub-districts of Baki.
Individually, these factors also affect demand in sub-districtsbaki except watermelon papaya price. The price elasticity of the demand for watermelon watermelon is inelastic because the value of elasticity is smaller than one that is equal to -0.399. Appleiscomplementarywith watermelons because the cross-elasticity is negative in the amount of - 0,249. Bananais complementarywithwatermelon because the cross-elasticity is negative in the amount - .463. Watermelon are normal goods because a value of incomeelasticitygreater than 0 and a positive value 0.318.
