KODIPTER SEBAGAI MODEL PENDAMPINGAN KURTILAS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN GURU KELAS SMPLB PADA SLB BINAAN DI KOTA SURAKARTA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2015/2016

Abstract


In 2014/2015 academic year, the government has set the implementation of Curriculum 2013
in Special Education (SLB). Constraints that experienced by teachers in the implementation of the
Special Education Curriculum 2013 is the lack of knowledge and understanding of VII and VIII
grade’s teachers about the integrated thematic learning in the implementation of the Special
Education Curriculum 2013. Assistance Program is one of the alternatives in addressing the issue.
One example of assistance model is using KODIPTER. KODIPTER is assistance activities conducted
through classroom visits, classroom observations, and discussion of post-learning programs. The
research problems are how KODIPTER act as a Kurtilas assistance model to improve the quality of
learning given by SMPLB teachers in SLB developed in Surakarta in the academic year 2015/2016?
The research subject of this action is the teacher of class VII and VII SMPLB in three (3) developed
schools in Surakarta namely SLB Negeri Surakarta, SLB / D YPAC Surakarta, and SLB / C Setya
Darma Surakarta. In the first cycle obtained that integrated thematic learning quality resulted the
average value of 65.56 (category enough). In the second cycle, the quality of integrated thematic
learning have increased the value with the average is 75.05 (both categories). Improved results in
cycle 1 and cycle 2 of each teachers is not same, but overall average increase reached 12.64%.
Assistance that conducted by school inspectors/ investigators create positive impact for teachers in
the implementation of the Special Education Curriculum 2013, namely: (1) Increased the ability of
VII and VIII grade’s teachers in the learning process based on the concept of Special Education
Curriculum, 2013; (2) Increasing motivation and commitment of VII and VIII grade’s teachers at
developed schools to implement Curriculum Special Education, 2013.
